Description: The Seville Program, located at the Spanish-American Institute of International Education, combines coursework, field trips, intercambio partnerships, and home-stays into a coherent, total package. In the Liberal Arts and International Business Track, students study about Spain while living in Spain so that the classroom experience complements, reinforces, and enhances the intercultural experience.

The curriculum in Seville is designed to take maximum advantage of the special location and the unique expertise of the faculty.

The summer program has the following options:

- Span 2030 (Intermediate Spanish 1) plus Hist 2010 (Colloquium on Spanish Culture) for a total of 6 credits, or
- Span 4060 (4th year intensive Spanish) plus Hist 2010 for a total of 7 credits.

- Classes are held Monday-Thursday, with Friday-Sunday available for optional field trips and independent activities.

Highlights: Courses in English and Spanish. Full-service on-site staff. Field trips and cultural visits. Intercambio (native Spaniard language partners). Home-stays with meals.

Cost in US$: $4,400 - $4,700

Not included in the basic cost are airfare, weekend meals, and personal expenses, as well as optional field trips.

The Institute for Study Abroad Programs adheres to the NAFSA: AIE Code of Ethics and Statements of Principles in International Educational Exchange and also supports the "Responsible Study Abroad: Health and Safety Guidelines" developed by the Interorganizational Task Force on Safety and Responsibility in Study Abroad.
