London Study Center
England
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Dates: September-December; February-May
Description:
Located at St. Mary's University College, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's London Program is one of the few programs in London that mainstreams American students in a British university, including full academic facilities and British instructors in all courses, as well as extracurricular activities and student services (such as a health service and a counseling service). With a total enrollment of about 3,200 students, St. Mary's occupies a single, self-contained campus, consisting of around 30 acres of lawns and playing fields near the River Thames. This picturesque site is surrounded by the quiet, leafy avenues of an attractive residential district, yet is only 35 minutes by shuttle-train from London's museums, concert halls, theatres, galleries and nightlife. You've got all the advantages of living in London--without the worries, the hassles and the expense.
Highlights:
British instructors in all courses. Field trips and excursions. Extracurricular activities and a sports program. Home-stays with breakfast; other meals with British students on campus.
