Highlights:
Your academic experience takes place in a historic Spanish mansion in the heart of downtown Seville. A beautiful and ancient city on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville has a rich cultural life and is known for its winding Moorish streets, Renaissance gardens, flower-strewn patios, grand architecture, flamenco dancing, and music. The Center has been a social and cultural gathering place for both Americans and sevillanos since 1969. Each year, more than two hundred Spaniards study English at the Center and participate in intercambios (language-exchanges) with American students. The Center also actively promotes regular interaction of Spanish and American students by organizing social events and cultural activities such as outings to the theater, festivals and carnivals, art exhibits, concerts of classical and contemporary music, video presentations, and joint fiestas.

The Center for Cross-Cultural Study's Mission Statement: The mission of the CC-CS is to promote our students' in-depth understanding of Spanish-speaking countries, through specifically designed academically rigorous university-level programs. We consider all of our students to be willing to cross cultural boundaries, to live as members of another culture, and to thus, learn about others as they learn about themselves.
In accordance with our mission to encourage our students to cross cultural boundaries, CC-CS promotes equal opportunities within our programs and does not discriminate on the basis of an individual's race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, age, physical ability, gender, sexual orientation, or other characteristics. We believe in educating students on cultural tolerance and sensitivity, acceptance of differences, inclusiveness, and how diversity is viewed in other cultures.
