The program will include a series of lectures and participation in human rights projects. The classes will be taught by professors of the Universidad del Pacifico, Centro de Estudios y Accion para la Paz (CEAPAZ), and Dr. Carlos Parodi, the ISU Faculty Director of this program. Universidad del Pacifico has been ranked as the most prestigious higher education institution in its fields of specialization in Peru. CEAPAZ is a civic association working for peace, human rights and democracy in Peru. Topics will include: State and Democracy in Latin America; The Socio-Economic System of Peru; Culture, Development and Human Rights; Youth Rights and Society; Women's Rights in Peru; International Relations and Human Rights; and Environmental Rights. Under the guidance of CEAPAZ professionals, students will participate in several human rights projects such as Youth Programs of Violence Treatment and Prevention and Educational Programs for Women and Children.
Highlights:
Several course-related excursions will be included as well as visits to Machu Picchu, Congress, Archeological Museum, and more!
