The university has one of the largest academic offerings of any single-site institution with choices ranging from fine arts and design to computer engineering. The academic breadth is combined with unparalleled facilities and a vibrant student life. You can take courses across the curriculum and may even have the chance to study under one of the University's many Nobel Prize winners. The large university campus absorbs and blends into the surrounding city of Manchester making for a dynamic university/city relationship. Considered by many to be the "capital" of northern England, the city pulses with energy. In addition to on-campus housing and student residences a short walk away, you can also live in the Student Village located in the Manchester suburb of Fallowfield. Not for the fainthearted, but definitely for those who seek an urban experience, Manchester, in a word, rocks. If you want the experience of a university and an urban environment that is gritty, edgy and enjoys a genuinely unpretentious vibe, this is it. Whether its kebabs or house music, curry or hip-hop, Manchester caters to every class, background and culture. Credits Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit. Spring semester: 15-16 credits. Fall semester: 15-16 credits. Fall term (certain subject areas only): 12 credits. Academic year: 30-32 credits. Admission Requirements GPA Requirements: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. You are required to submit a second academic reference. Please download the R-Form or you may have your reference send a letter on the letterhead of his/her institution. You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form before your application will be considered.

An Arcadia program isn't just about enrolling you in an overseas institution however. It's about all of the services that we provide. Before you go, you can contact our program manager for advice on the application process, choosing courses, or simply what you should pack. Once you arrive, our resident director will lead an orientation program in London that will introduce you to the culture, history and politics of England as well as preparing you for the academic challenges of studying in a different educational system. During the semester, you can expect to participate in excursions that are designed to allow you to reflect on the learning that is taking place outside the classroom.
