The University of Auckland was established in 1883 and has grown into an international center of learning and academic excellence. The University offers a world-class education to 32,000 students, more than 4,700 of whom are international student coming from over 90 countries. The University of Auckland is a research-led university and this is extremely important to our students and the quality of teaching they receive. Students on the study abroad program live and learn on the city campus, which is one of the university's five campuses. the city campus is surrounded by park-like grounds, which offer a retreat from the bustling city center, just a five-minute walk away. Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, has a population of around 1.3 million, which represents about 1/3 of the population of the whole country. Situation in the north of New Zealand's North Island, it occupies a narrow isthmus between two stunning harbors. With 23 regional parks, two marine reserves, 100 km of coastline, more than 500 km of walking tracks and 48 volcanic cones, Auckland's lifestyle has been voted amongst the best in the world.
Highlights:
Auckland has something to offer everyone, including great outdoors adventures such as bungee jumping, fishing, diving, surfing, sailing, parachuting, microlighting, horse-trekking- the list goes on. Auckland also provides an array of cosmopolitan experiences, such as concerts, theatrical performances, sporting events, scenic walks and art galleries. The newly developed waterfront offers an exciting nightlife with a variety of restaurants, clubs, bars and pubs. iSPACE, the international students activities center, offers a wide range of programs to ensure that students get the most from their Study Abroad experience. Activities such as surfing, tramping, and sailing are offered on a regular basis. Students also have to opportunity to join any of the 100 student clubs operating on campus. The Recreation Center, at the city campus, provides facilities for most indoor sporting and fitness activities.

Cost Include Description:
AustraLearn is the largest program provider to Australia and New Zealand and offers very competitive and affordable prices. Program fees include full-time tuition, fees, health coverage, housing, meals (where available), all pre-trip services, 24-hour support while abroad, our unique orientation in Rotorua, New Zealand, held prior to semester start, an optional 3-day conservation volunteer weekend, and alumni services upon return. Most students live in pre-arranged housing in university residence halls or nearby apartments/flats.
