Paris is undeniably one of the most impressive cities in the world, with a wealth of intellectual and artistic opportunities for students. Our programs put students directly in contact with the aesthetic and intellectual challenges the city offers. Founded in 1969 as part of New York University's Center for French Civilization and Culture, NYU in Paris is the second oldest international site that NYU sponsors. Each summer over 100 students'both undergraduate and graduate'spend six weeks engaged in rewarding academic pursuit in this "City of Lights." For undergraduate students who want to acquire or improve their French language skills while exploring the arts, literature, politics, and history of this fascinating country, NYU in Paris proposes a stimulating and diverse curriculum complemented by daily cultural activities. The NYU in Paris program offers courses in elementary, intermediate, and advanced French language, as well as a wide array of content courses focusing on the literature, history, theatre, cinema, and art history of France.
