At the University of New South Wales, you'll find a large and modern campus that caters to more than 30,000 students. Its location in the Sydney suburb of Kensington, within a couple of miles of ocean side communities like Coogee Beach, provide students with a wonderful mix of urban life and the outdoor environment for which Australia is so well known. Nine faculties and more than 70 research centers and institutes give you an idea of just how wide the course offerings are at UNSW. With an excellent reputation for the provision of intellectually challenging and engaging courses in commerce and economics and all strands of engineering as well as English literature and a substantial number of courses that focus on Australia, you'll be able to match your academic requirements, whether they be fulfilling major credits or simply distributional requirements. Outside the classroom, you'll find that your housing will offer the opportunity to live with other international students. Credits Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit. * Fall and spring semester: 16 credits. * Academic year: 32 credits. Admission Requirements GPA Requirements: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form before your application will be considered.

Before you go, you can contact our program manager for advice on the application process, choosing courses, or simply what you should pack. Once you arrive, our Australia staff will lead an orientation program along the Mornington Peninsula and in Melbourne that will introduce you to the culture, history and politics of Australia as well as preparing you for the academic challenges of studying in a different educational system. During the semester, Arcadia's staff will plan excursions and activities designed to expand your understanding of Australian culture and help you integrate into university life. It's almost impossible to explain in words the educational and cultural experience that study abroad can be and Arcadia is there to help you get the most out of the experience.
