Description:
Summer Program is a new and exciting set of intensive courses with a modern edge in the historically complex city of Paris. Areas of study are Photography, Fashion Design, Fashion Management, Experiments in Paris (Mixed Media Lab), Art and Language (in collaboration with Cours de Civilisation Francaise de la Sorbonne), and Art Discovery (for parents and children). One to four-week long courses help introductory to intermediate level students explore specific areas of European art, design, business, culture, and language. On daily fieldtrips, participants have access to and utilize the abundant resources in the city of Paris as subject matter and inspiration. Through studio work, lectures, and independent project research students develop new skills as well as portfolio pieces for college admissions. European based faculty of professional artists and designers guide the way through the colorful streets, museums, studios, neighborhoods, and shops and businesses of Paris. Through challenging assignments, which are at the core of the program, and studying from masterpieces, students develop skills as well as an individual artistic and creative sense.
