Highlights:
CALES, located in the heart of Old Sana'a, affords a unique opportunity to live among a thriving UNESCO World Heritage Site. Neighboring is Souk al-Milh, a large, winding market containing everything from exotic spices to old fashioned blacksmith shops. Bab al-Yemen, the main entrance into Souk al-Milh and the symbolic entrance to Yemen itself, is a treasured landmark serving as a visual link with Yemen's lengthy history less than 5 minutes walk from CALES. The Great Mosque, built in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and renovated later by Queen Arwa. Adjacent to the mosque is Dar al-Mokhtotat, a cultural library housing priceless Islamic artifacts, including one of the earliest known copies of the Qura'an. Cutting through the heart of Old Sana'a is the Saila, a multifunction channel lined by European style atmosphere reminiscent of Parisian lights highlighting the best of Yemeni art.
