Description: The University of Queensland (UQ) is the oldest and largest university in Queensland with enrollment around 29,000 students, including 3,500 international students. Founded in Brisbane in 1910, UQ is the State's leading center of higher education. UQ's main campus is located on the scenic Brisbane River in St. Lucia, just four miles from the city center. The campus is easily accessible from the city by ferry (10 minutes) or non-stop bus service (15 minutes). St. Lucia provides students the option to study in a clean, tranquil suburban setting with a flexible transportation network to and from the city.
