RMIT University's main campus is located in Melbourne's city center within walking distance of shops, inexpensive cafes, pubs and cinemas. The Swanston Street tram also provides excellent transportation throughout the city and makes frequent stops at RMIT. Trendy Brunswick Street, known for its coffeehouses, eateries and alternative scene, is within walking distance in nearby Fitzroy. Additionally, Melbourne's Little Italy is easily accessible via a short walk or quick tram ride to Lygon Street, where students can enjoy more cafes, pizzerias and other ethnic foods.
