Amount the wealth of excellent research work that has been carried out at Victoria over recent years, a number of projects have received international accolades. These include the work of Victoria's Antarctic Research Centre, research by a team of Victoria scientists into high-temperature superconductors and the analysis of New Zealand's new system of government (MMP). Students benefit immeasurably from the research emphasis, and Victoria's academic strengths include: Law, Music, Politics, Management Studies, Economics, Government Studies, MBA, Architecture and Design, Earth Sciences, Materials Science, Psychology, Film and Theatre, Linguistics, IT and Computer Science and Bioscience.
