A medieval city located just south of Florence, Siena offers students an ideal location from which to view Italy's rich artistic legacy. CET students are not only surrounded by beautiful art resources, they are also uniquely immersed in contemporary Tuscan life. The curriculum focuses on art history, Italian language, and the culture, poltics, cinema, and literature of Italy. CET's Siena program is open to all students, from all schools, regardless of major or language level.
Highlights:
* Travel to Florence, Rome, and Venice * Live in an apartment with Italian roommates or with an Italian host family * Take small classes taught in English or Italian * Experience cultural and language immersion through life in Siena, a real Italian city in the heart of Tuscany * Participate in an internship, direct enroll in the University of Siena, or join a Contrada in preparation for the Palio

CET Academic Programs's Mission Statement: CET Academic Programs is a private study abroad organization based in Washington, DC that has been designing and administering educational programs abroad since 1982. We offer study abroad programs in China, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Italy and Spain. CET's programs specialize in integrating students into the society in which they are living. Each program is a model in student-centered learning, in which students are constantly challenged to contextualize their studies within the society that surrounds them. Staffed by over 20 full-time employees in the US and abroad, CET currently sends more than 700 American students abroad annually.
