Development and Community in Bangladesh

Description: Students will travel to both urban and rural Bangledesh to explore the policies, practices and ideologies of socioeconomic development. International agencies, governmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations have made this country a key site for implementing and testing various models of development.

Highlights: Field projects with Independent University of Bangledesh students.

    Cost Include Description:
    Roundtrip airfare from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Dhaka, airport transfers, ground transportation to Kishoreganj and Comilla, planned group excursions, lodging, all breakfasts, most lunches and dinners, and administrative costs.

    Additional expense to the student will include the home school's J-term fee (varies per school), passport, visa, travel insurance, and personal expenses (sundries, tips, gifts, and free time entertainment/meals/transportation).
