Term: Summer
Dates: Please Visit our Website for updates.

Description: Nursing in Scandinavia: Context & Clinical Practice.

DIS in cooperation with Copenhagen School of Nursing offers an innovative six-week, six-credit summer program for academically strong American nursing students. Taught in English, this intensive six-week program will focus on the socio-political context and clinical ways in which nursing is practiced in Scandinavia.

The program will be based on theory and clinical practice and consist of the following three elements:

Theory and practice of health care systems and the nursing profession in Scandinavian. Clinical practice, organized as observational and reflective studies, supervised and guided by clinical preceptors in different areas of nursing individually chosen before departure. Field studies to representative centers of nursing in Denmark and Scandinavia, integrated with course theory.
