QUT is one of Australia's largest universities situated in the Queensland state capital of Brisbane. QUT offers a wide range of courses in its eight Faculties. In 1993, QUT was named 'Australia's University of the Year' by the Good Universities Guide for outstanding undergraduate teaching performance among Australia's 38 universities. The city of Brisbane is a modern, cosmopolitan city with a population of over 1.2 million people. The city of Brisbane has considerable natural beauty due to a broad, winding river with many reaches. Almost 200 parks and reserves can be found within the city limits and Brisbane is only a short drive from beaches, mountains and national parks. The islands of Moreton Bay offer some of the world's finest surfing beaches, while just an hour's drive south of Brisbane takes you to Australia's premier beach resorts on the Gold Coast.
Highlights:
The QUT Study Abroad Orientation Weekend is a highlight of your settling-in period at QUT. Don't be surprised during this camp if you, like many other students before you, make lasting friendships that continue well after your return home. The orientation weekend includes plenty of activities such as surfing, sandboarding, a guided walk, and an Australiana trivia night. We have also arranged lots of free time on the beach for you to "kick back" and get to know your fellow students! Cruise the up and down the Brisbane River and enjoy the beautiful night lights of Brisbane at our first official Study Abroad event for the semester. The QUT Study Abroad Brisbane River Cruise is a great way to meet and get to know fellow students and staff in the Study Abroad and Exchange programs. QUT offers Study Abroad students the opport unit y to receive a formal QUT award on completion of their Study Abroad program. The Certificates and Diplomas recognize student's academic achievements with QUT and are tangible evidence of their study abroad. QUT offers study abroad research students a one or two semester program subject to supervisor availability. For more information contact your AustraLearn advisor. Study Abroad students enrolled in at least one business subject have the opportunity to be involved in our innovative Business Advantage program offered through our AACSB accredited Faculty of Business.

Program fees includes tuition for 3-4 subjects, guaranteed pre-arranged housing, AustraLearn Culture and Adventure Program on-site in Cairns, Australia, optional spring break tours, access to a transcript from our U.S. University of Record, affiliate student fee discounts, end of program workshop, university administrative fees, overseas health coverage, all pre-trip services including orientation materials, visa-processing service (excluding the visa fee), personal advising, subject selections, liaison with your home university, credit transfer assistance, financial aid services, and 24-hour assistance while abroad.
