AustraLearn and Bond University
Australia
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: January, May and September terms
Description:
Bond University is Australia's first and largest non-profit university. It offers dynamic courses which equip graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of today's 'internationalized' world in industry, business or technology. Bond's teaching methods focus on high quality and personalized instruction. Staff/student ratios are low. Students have easy access to academic and other staff. The University's unique system of three semesters in each academic year, January, May and September, allows for an accelerated degree. The three-semester system is also an attractive option for study abroad students. The University is located on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Queensland offers a perfect climate of mild winters and warm summers; it has beautiful forests and beaches; it is safe and secure with a clean environment; and it is experiencing rapid growth in business, trade and industry. On-campus accommodation is available in the Halls of Residence. Because the University has on-campus accommodation, this provides opportunities for many student initiated activities and clubs. Weekend or day trips are frequent for activities such as whale watching and sporting facilities abound including swimming, tennis, surfing, squash, bush walking, mountain climbing etc.
Highlights:
Bond University works closely with Student Flights located on campus, to give students the opportunity to participate in different adventures all over Australia and New Zealand. Most students' study abroad schedule allows them time to travel, sight see and experience the best the Gold Coast and surrounding areas have to offer. Opportunities exist for students to participate in organized group trips on the weekends involving visits to the Australia Zoo and home of former Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, surfing tours up and down the east coast of Australia, island hopping in the Whitsundays, a visit to Byron Bay and Fraser Island are a must, snorkeling above the Great Barrier Reef, and possibly a visit to outback Australia and the Northern Territory! Bond Mate Program To make a smooth transition to studying and living in Australia , Bond University has a Bond Mate program available for all students to join. You will be matched up with a student currently studying at Bond who will help answer any questions you may have before you come. Your Bond mate is someone you can look forward to meeting you once you arrive, to help show you around campus.
