Description:
KEI's African Safari program takes place both on the campus of the United States International University (a beautiful 20-acre campus, located 12 miles from the center of Nairobi) and during planned safaris in Kenya's national parks and wildlife reserves. During the safaris, students camp on the game reserves and national parks and are accompanied by both USIU faculty and professional guides.
Highlights:
The 5-week African Safari Program in Kenya takes advantage of this country's world-renowned natural resources and abundant wildlife to teach courses in wildlife management, preservation and environmental ethics. Learning takes place both on campus (at the United States International University) in Nairobi and during planned field trips and safaris in Kenya's national parks and game reserves. USIU faculty (and professional safari guides) accompany the group and teach the courses.

Cost Include Description:
Tuition for the 5-week "African Safari" program includes 2 courses (taught in English by USIU professors) for 8 college credits (4 credits per course); housing in residence hall on campus and in campsites during safaris; English-speaking professional guide; transportation by bus and safari vehicle; pre-departure and on-site support; on-site coordinator; airport welcome and orientation;, travel and medical insurance; and mobile phone. Transcripts are issued by USIU, which is accredited in the United States.
