Term: Summer

Description: On this 8-week summer program, earn 9 credits studying Spanish language (intermediate to advanced levels), Ecuadorian culture, Andean history, anthropology, art history, sociology, and Latin American literature. Students must have 4 semesters of college-level Spanish language or equivalent to participate. Discover the natural beauty of Ecuador while exploring the beaches, snow-capped mountains, and jungles. All participants live with an Ecuadorian family. This arrangement offers students the opportunity to practice their language skills daily and learn first-hand about the culture of Ecuador. Homestays also provide students with a supportive link to the host country. Meals are generally taken with the host family.
