Description:
Earn 15 credits studying Spanish language (beginner to advanced levels), Ecuadorian society and civilization, contemporary Latin American literature, and modern Latin American history. Discover the natural beauty of Ecuador while exploring the beaches, snow-capped mountains, and jungles. All participants live with an Ecuadorian family. This arrangement offers students the opportunity to practice their language skills daily and learn first-hand about the culture of Ecuador. Homestays also provide students with a supportive link to the host country. Meals are generally taken with the host family. The host institution for the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS) program is Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
