Description:
Earn 7 credits studying Spanish language (beginner to advanced levels) and Ecuadorian culture in January. Discover the natural beauty of Ecuador while exploring the beaches, snow-capped mountains, and jungles. All participants live with an Ecuadorian family. This arrangement offers students the opportunity to practice their language skills daily and learn first-hand about the culture of Ecuador. Homestays also provide students with a supportive link to the host country. Meals are generally taken with the host family. The host instituion for this College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS) program is the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
Highlights:
Courses taught in English and Spanish (beginning to advanced levels). No Spanish language prerequisite. 2.5 GPA requirement. Freshmen through Graduate students eligible.
