API students will complete classes in English and in Spanish with mostly American students at two different campuses. The Sant Pau campus is located in a renovated UNESCO World Heritage building near the famous Sagrada Familia church in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. The Sarria campus is located in the northern part of the city, in a prosperous business district called 'Sarria'.
Highlights:
Barcelona (pop. 1,600,000): a city of contradictions; old and new intertwined, beautiful yet industrial, traditional and avant-garde. Located in the northeastern region of Catalunya, it is bordered by France to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the east. Barcelona is the largest province (and city) in the region and was once a major site of power, industrialism, and art in southern Europe. Barcelona is an incredible destination for study abroad. It is here that the student can learn and observe the beauty, history, and unique culture of the region of Catalunya while learning Spanish!
