Description: Study art history, history, literature, religious studies and Spanish language during a summer abroad with AIFS in Barcelona, Spain, at Pompeu Fabra University. En route to Barcelona, you will visit the exciting city of London. In Spain, AIFS offers trips to Gerona, Figueras, Cadaques, Montserrat and Sitges. From your home on Las Ramblas, Barcelona's main pedestrian street, you are just steps to the Plaza de Catalunya, the city's historic center. Enjoy restaurants and cafes throughout the city with your meal allowance, or shop in the markets to prepare your own meals at home.

AIFS program fees include the basics and the extras: tution, housing, meal allowance, London visit, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, and more.

Highlights: Summer students live in rooms in the modern Citadines Apartment Hotel, a five minute walk from the University's Ciutadella campus, where all summer courses are held. Barcelona, rich in history and art, is the capital of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain.

AIFS staff arrange a wide variety of social and cultural activities such as walking tours of Barcelona, visits to museums and monuments, day trips to nearby historical towns such as Gerona, Montserrat and to Figueras.
