The NYU in London academic center, located in the literary district of Bloomsbury that is also home to the British Museum and the University of London, offers students a unique opportunity to experience the history and culture of one of the greatest cities of Europe. While in London, students engage with the lore, culture, and pageantry of England's past and present, from ancient through modern times. Course offerings are combined with the cultural and professional resources of the British Museum, the BBC, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the London School of Economics, and the financial sector of London, known as the City, to provide students with the opportunity to make their semester in London truly memorable. For students with specific professional goals, NYU in London staff arranges internships on the basis of merit. Premed students and science majors are encouraged to study abroad in London, where science and math courses are available.
Highlights:
Students at NYU in London take advantage of a number of special programs, including guided tours of the British Museum, the newly designed Globe Theatre, the Tate Gallery, the National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, and the Tower of London. Class trips take students to the BBC, the Houses of Parliament, London's financial district, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Walking tours presenting the architecture and history of Soho, Bloomsbury, Westminster, and other areas of London are activities included in NYU in London's orientation week. A full-time, student-affairs staff plans trips to places outside of London, including Stonehenge, Windsor, Oxford, Canterbury, and Greenwich, where the literary and historical life of England comes alive.

Applicants to NYU study abroad programs are generally registered at an accredited college or university in the United States. Students who participate in study abroad programs have completed their freshman year of study and have attained a GPA of at least 3.0.
