Description: The NYU Center, located in the heart of the university district in London, offers students a unique opportunity to pursue their undergraduate studies while experiencing the history and culture of one of the greatest cities of Europe. While in London, students can immerse themselves in the lore, culture, and pageantry of England's past and present, from ancient through modern times. Curricular offerings have been carefully combined with the resources of the British Museum, the BBC, the Royal Academy of Drama, the London School of Economics, and the financial sector of London, known as the City, to provide students with the opportunity to make their semester in London truly memorable. For students with specific professional goals, the NYU center will endeavor to arrange internships on the basis of merit. Pre-med students and science majors are encouraged to study abroad in London, where laboratory courses are arranged as needed.

Highlights: Students at NYU in London will be able to take advantage of a number of special programs, including guided tours of the British Museum, the newly designed Globe Theatre, the Tate Gallery, the National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, and the Tower of London. NYU students will also be invited to tour the BBC, the Houses of Parliament, London's financial district, and the Royal Academy of Drama. Walking tours presenting the architecture and history of Soho, Bloomsbury, Westminster, and other areas of London will be available as part of the NYU in London orientation. Students at NYU in London will also travel outside of London during the semester to the following places: Stonehenge, Windsor, Oxford, Canterbury, and Greenwich where the literary and historical life of England comes alive.

    Applicants to NYU study abroad programs are generally registered at an accredited college or university in the United States. Students who participate in study abroad programs have completed their freshman year of study and have attained a GPA of at least 3.0.
