Description: This Master is held in English. Collaboration with ADI (the Italian Association for Industrial Design), springs from the need to create an education product that meets the requirements of the industrial system for well trained professional figures, capable of tackling the technological, creative and strategic challenges of the next few years. Geared towards graduates in architecture and industrial design and IED graduates, this Master has the aim of teaching concrete design methodology, which will allow students to approach their future professional roles, capably and confidently. This course concentrates on the development of several design projects in close collaboration with business enterprises and thus offers the possibility of carrying out research using the strategic and technical information of the industrial system.

Highlights: Projects

This master will have three main projects: Consumer product, Furniture, High-tech. Projects will be developed in collaboration with market leading companies and world renowned teachers. The role of the companies will be to present the project brief and guide at each phase of development while offering any technical assistance if needed. Trips to production sites will be organised.

The Project will have the following phases:
1st phase : kick off, project brief and company presentation - market research and evaluation
2nd phase : brainstorming, concept generation, innovation opportunities
3rd phase : concept refinement, review, redirect
4th phase : scenario building, user sequence
5th phase : project finalisation, presentation preparation, final meeting with company team

Skills

Our 'skills' classes are provided to help students understand the basic tools of the industrial design profession and to allow the students a vehicle to visualise and communicate their various projects. Rhinoceros, 3D Studio Viz, Photoshop, Flash, Modelling techniques, Sketching and Rendering.
