Description:
The JSP is a semester-year study abroad program located just outside of Tokyo in Kawagoe, Japan. Intensive Japanese courses accommodate of all levels, beginner-advanced, and class sizes range from 3-12 students. Students also take 1-2 Japan Studies elective courses Kawagoe, an ancient castle town, still retains many of its historic and cultural aspects. Due to it's proximity to Tokyo and location in Saitama, students are able to explore both urban and rural Japan with ease. The JSP takes place at Tokyo International University, home to a Japanese student body of 6000+ students. JSP students find it easy to meet Japanese peers and make friends. Highlights:
Small, intense classes ensure individualized attention and a dramatic improvement in Japanese language skills. Host-family life provides unlimited language practice, and dramatic improvements in language ability. With it's location in a historic town just outside of Tokyo, field trips to cultural sites in the surrounding countryside, and optional excursion to Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Miyajima, the JSP allows students to experience first hand all facets of Japan, from the ancient, to the modern.

Cost in US$: 8,500
Cost Include Description:
Tuition, homestay with a Japanese family, hotel at arrival, orientation, cultural excursions, full accident and medical insurance, textbooks, and train or bus commuter pass expenses to and from the University. Meals are included with homestay, however students are responsible for their own lunch on school days.
