UGA at Oxford Study Abroad Program
England
Term: Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: Spring (multiple), Summer (multiple) & Fall (multiple) programs
Description:
The Spring and Fall terms run twelve weeks and offer both seminar and tutorials courses. The Spring, Summer and Fall Programs offer a wide variety of subjects, such as: anthropology, biology, ecology, economics, English literature, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese, history, linguistics, political science, philosophy, psychology, religion, and sociology. During the Spring and Fall, participants are housed in a large Victorian home in North Oxford bought and converted to dorm space by UGA. It is within a short walking distance of Oxford city center. The residential center has all the amenities of living in a house, but with a dorm-like atmosphere. The summer term offers several six-week programs with seminar and tutorial courses. The UGA Franklin at Oxford Summer program is open to non-UGA, as well as UGA students. The Terry School of Business at Oxford and Grady College of Journalism at Oxford Programs are only open to UGA students. The curriculum is not as varied as the year round offering. Summer offers English literature, economics, history, political science, and religion courses. During the summer term students are housed in dorm space at an Oxford University College.
