Study Abroad at Lincoln University New Zealand

Description: Lincoln University is a small campus 25 minutes drive from Christchurch, the largest city in New Zealand's South Island. Lincoln offers courses in Agriculture, Science, Business, Landscape Architecture, Human Sciences, and Environmental Science. There are around 4,000 students on campus. Classes are generally small and compliment the friendly atmosphere. Semesters run from mid February to mid June and from the beginning of July to October. Each semester has a 2 week break. Students that come to Lincoln are often active both on campus and enjoy the activities that the Canterbury region have to offer. Surfing and Skiing are possible on the same day! New Zealanders are generally outgoing and active and many clubs from mountaineering, snowboarding, mountainbiking, hiking all exist on campus. Christchurch is a vibrant city with a wonderful Art Gallery and plenty to do if you like city life.

The costs- the tuition fee per semester is NZ$8,500. Accommodation (all students are housed in single rooms and can choose between living in halls with a meal plan or self catered halls or student flats or apartments, the cost of accommodation including the meal plan is NZ3,850 for the semester, here is also a student services levy of NZ$125 per semester.) All students coming to New Zealand, must obtain a Student Visa and must take out comprehensive Insurance. Students must purchase Health and Travel Insurance to cover the period of study. The current costs for one year are NZ$456, or one semester NZ$228. Students are required to show evidence of their Insurance Policy at Registration, together with their Student visa. Students should purchase their Insurance on line before they commence travel to New Zealand. These policies are compliant with the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Stuents.
