Highlights:
For any student interested in social, cultural, scientific and artistic studies, Thailand has much to offer. Culturally diverse and socially harmonious, with verdant reserves of tropical forests and rich, vibrant traditions in the arts, Thailand is also a center for international business. Situated at a centuries old crossroad between India, China and Java, Thailand is a natural gateway not only to Southeast Asia, but also to the entire Pacific Rim. Fascinating, energetic, and friendly, Thailand is most importantly a gracious host to visiting international students. This is the setting for Mahidol University, one of Thailand's most prestigious institutions of higher learning. Mahidol University is the oldest institution of higher learning in Thailand. The relatively new International College is modern and forward-thinking offering a dynamic, challenging and exciting experience for international students. The 520 acre campus is filled with natural beauty, landscaped gardens and lush tropical scenery. The relaxing semi-rural setting, within easy reach of central Bangkok, makes it an ideal setting for studying or working in tranquility, without losing out on the myriad of cultural, sightseeing and entertainment opportunities available in the city, famously popular with international travelers. Students are never lacking in diversions to enliven their social schedule, pique their intellectual interest and/or complement their studies. The campus houses various cultural and entertainment centers, and numerous social and cultural activities are held throughout the year, including dances, concerts, plays and movies. The student body has also formed many clubs centered around a variety of interests, whether artistic, cultural, political, religious, athletic or otherwise.
