Description: SUNY New Paltz Study Abroad program in Dundee, Scotland is conducted by Dundee University, a fully accredited university that issues all transcripts. Students are expected to carry a full-time academic load (12-15 undergraduate credits per semester) and will be offered variety of courses to choose from toward their degree.

The city of Dundee, on the eastern coast of Scotland, lies on the estuary of the River Tay. Travel and you enter the ancient kingdom of Fife and on to St. Andrews and Edinburgh. The program offers students the opportunity to spend a semester immersing them in the academic, historical, political, and cultural life of Scotland. The University of Dundee has firmly established a reputation for teaching quality and high-level research. Dundee is a campus university where teaching and social facilities as well as much of the student accommodation are all of the same compact size.

Qualifications:

Juniors and Seniors in good academic standing with an above average academic record may apply. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is recommended for admission to the program.

Language of Instruction:
All classes will be conducted in English.

Housing:
Dundee University offers some of the best available accommodations at any UK university. A wide choice of accommodation offerings are available to students: Catered Halls of Residence, Self-Catering Halls of Residence, and Self-Catering Houses and Flats. All accommodations are either on the campus or lie within a relatively short walking distance. Accommodations may be single or double according to choice. Students usually prepare their own meals or purchase some meals at local restaurants.

Financial Aid:
Students may apply for financial aid at their home campus financial aid office. Financial aid deferrals may be applied toward tuition and program fee only.

Health Insurance:
All students must have approved insurance coverage while studying abroad.
