Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring
Dates: August - May (Full Year), August - December (Fall Semester), January - May (Spring Semester)
Description:
Long hidden behind the Iron Curtain, Prague, with its collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Students interested in international politics, economics or culture will find Prague a stimulating place in which to live and study. At Charles University AIFS students take courses in English in art history, economics, film studies, history, literature, music, political science, psychology, religion, sociology and theater, and Czech language. The program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing in a residence hall or apartment, a meal allowance, round trip flight if selected, cultural activities, an on-site Resident Director, and excursions.
Highlights:
Prague is a cultural hot spot with attractions such as museums, theater, art galleries, film houses, castles and cathedrals. Students live in University residence halls with private bath and kitchenette, or may opt to make other living arrangements at an apartment in the area. Cultural activities include walking tours and day trips in the Czech Republic. Excursions to London, Moravia and Krakow are included in the program fees. Additionally, a public transportation pass is included for easy accessibility to local galleries, operas and concerts.
