CIS - Study at Bond University

  Australia
  • Gold Coast:
  • Gold Coast

Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: Spring: January - May; Summer: May - August; Fall: September - December

Description: The amazing Gold Coast of Australia awaits you! Enroll at Bond University and enjoy all the amenities of a modern university in one of the world's loveliest coastal locations, with tropical weather all year long.

Bond University is unique in that its academic calendar closely resembles a U.S. university calendar. With three 14-week semesters beginning in September, January and May, students can easily find a semester that 'fits" with their study abroad schedule. Bond is internationally renowned for many of its programs. There is a wide curriculum and students can select from four schools: the School of Business, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Information Technology, and the School of Law.

Academically speaking, Bond has achieved remarkable distinction, nationally and internationally, for many of its programs.

Highlights: If you have always dreamed of visiting Australia, now is the time to go. Australia offers a wealth of experiences including the adventure of the outback, the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, the glow of Ayers Rock Uluru, and cosmopolitan Sydney. While roos or crocs are a rare sight, you will definitely find Australia to be one of the most welcoming cultures in the world.

The Gold Coast is Australia's popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches and scenic sub-tropical hinterland attractions. Queensland's capital and Australia's third largest city, Brisbane, is only 45 miles away. Public transportation is readily available to you.

Situated just 10 minutes from the coast, Bond University is Australia's first and largest private university. At Australia's most modern university you will experience personalized education by highly qualified teachers, innovative courses and teaching methods, and a beautiful and safe campus. The student ratios are low (10:1). As a result, you will enjoy a high degree of individual attention as well as easy access to facilities.

You will find that Bond offers wonderful facilities and programs for all of its students. On campus you will have access to a coffee house, cafes, health clinic, computer labs, banking ATM, a post office, as well as a superb sports center featuring basketball volleyball, squash, and a heated swimming pool. In addition, Bond offers a variety of student clubs and organizations including golf, scuba diving, rugby, rowing, drama, debating and photography. Also, as a Bond student you will have access to the Internet and your own email account.
* Bond University runs on an academic system similar to the US. Unlike other universities in Australia, the semesters at Bond begin in September, January and May similar to the US.
* Bond is one of Australia's few private universities which gives you an excellent staff to student ratio.
* The Gold Coast has a tropical climate all year long.
* Bond is a modern campus with all buildings located on a central campus.
