Description:
CET's Chinese Studies Program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of Chinese culture, history, and issues of contemporary significance, while allowing them the flexibility to focus on specific topics of their choosing. The program accommodates all students, with varying degrees of Chinese background, by offering courses in Chinese history, politics, literature, language, and more. CET students on this program will live in a brand new, state-of-the-art foreign students' dormitory at Capital Normal University (CNU), a national university which hosts CET's center.

CET Academic Programs's Mission Statement: CET Academic Programs is a private study abroad organization based in Washington, DC that has been designing and administering educational programs abroad since 1982. We offer study abroad programs in China, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Italy and Spain. CET's programs specialize in integrating students into the society in which they are living. Each program is a model in student-centered learning, in which students are constantly challenged to contextualize their studies within the society that surrounds them. Staffed by over 20 full-time employees in the US and abroad, CET currently sends more than 700 American students abroad annually.
